aye, apparently the above pics are incomplete without Ninomiya and Yamashita.. anyhow, here's a review of the show since i've finished watching it some time ago.
i’ve to admit that i wasn’t expecting a good dorama series at first glance. have thought that the two johnnies would not have possessed promising acting skills. moreover, i hardly had any idea of what's the plot's about. however, after viewing, i'd say i was really happy that i stumbled on this show. if not, i'd have missed a good laugh! haa.
Ninomiya had played the nerdy and insecured Shohei pretty well. you gotta look at the way he walked, his lagginess and when he went EHHHHHH, it's really ticklish. it's a surprise to actually see how funny he could be in a comedic role. on the other hand, Yamashita played Ken-Ken was the more decent fella. ken-ken wa shinsetsu na hito desu ne! haha. then, Oguri who played the sporty soccer guy, Kozi, another funnny fella, he sure looked pretty cool when he was in his soccer jersey. hehe. most importantly, Narimiya who played Hayato, he's the most ticklish character!! i always looked forward to looking his scenes heh. lastly, Anne Suzuki who played Chie, i must say, don't you think she looked a lil too round? HAHA. when Ninomiya's beside her, i couldn't help thinking how teeny weeny he has become. oops, haa.. but she's not fat yea, just that her face looked too round for her frame. anyhow, she did play her role quite well.
honestly, it's about looking at how these guys displayed their ridiculous crankiness (unlike their usual decently cool styles) that made this show a laughable one. just like i had seen Narimiya in [Kagen no Tsuki], but his seriousness had not left me a deep impression. in [Stand Up!!], it's was his exaggerated comical actions that caught my attention. it's funny how you can actually get a kick out of watching how guys make a fool out of themselves, ain't it? lol. cerainly not to forget, i love his frequent flashes of big grins. it's infectious! heh.
yea, it's definitely one great teen flick that i couldn't stop watching right till the finale once i began. it's full of silly crap but i guess they weren't those lame jokes which were really cold. haa. oh well, i dislike people who came telling you those cold and lame jokes which are literally repelling and you just feel it'd be just fine if you haven't heard them at all. but i actually had a good laugh over this show so yea.. ^^
